9 Day Family Walking Tour
Nine days paced for a family: shorter walking stretches, longer stops, and days that work for every age in the party.
The shape of the journey.
Families get a nine-day route built around hands-on stops as well as Morocco's history. You'll make a drum in Fez with a master artisan, cook a tagine together, and look for wild Barbary macaques in the cedar forests of Ifrane. Younger travellers stay involved without the days becoming a city checklist.
The route, in order.
The tour begins with airport reception in Casablanca and a family-friendly introduction to the Hassan II Mosque before continuing to Rabat.
You explore the capital's royal and historic sites together before settling in for the night.
The route continues to Meknes and the Roman ruins of Volubilis, bringing 2,000-year-old history to life for younger travellers among the mosaics and columns.
A stop in Ifrane National Park offers the chance to spot wild Barbary macaques in the cedar forests.
In Fez, the family takes part in a drum-making workshop with a local artisan and explores the medina's narrow lanes and traditional nougat vendors.
A family cooking class follows, learning to bake bread and prepare a traditional tagine with a local chef.
The journey continues towards Marrakech, with a cultural stop with a local Berber family for mint tea and conversation along the way.
You arrive in Marrakech ready to explore the city over the following days.
The final day is spent in Marrakech's medina and souks, finishing with the fire-eaters, snake charmers and performers of Jemaa el-Fna square.
The tour concludes with airport transfer arranged as part of the package.
